What is the compensation package offered?

At CW Freight, we understand the importance of rewarding your hard work. Our compensation package for owner operators is designed to be competitive and fair. You can expect to earn between $5,000 and $8,000 or more each week. We provide Samsara ELD Equipment with a front-facing Dash Cam and a fuel card and handle IFTA filing for you. In addition, we offer $250,000 in cargo and general liability insurance, ensuring you’re covered on all fronts.

What are the requirements for joining CW Freight as an Intermodal Owner Operator?

Joining CW Freight as an intermodal owner operator requires a commitment to excellence and safety. To qualify, you must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no more than one ticket in the last three years and a minimum of two years’ experience in the field. You’ll also need Bobtail Insurance and Accident Occupational Coverage (ACC/OCC). Additionally, passing a pre-employment drug screen is required. Your equipment should be clean, pass DOT inspections, and preferably be under five years old.

Do I need my own MC authority?

No need to worry about obtaining your own Motor Carrier (MC) authority. CW Freight has got you covered. Owner operators interested in partnering with us aren’t required to operate with their own authority, simplifying the process for you.

What about insurance certificates?

Insurance requirements can often be a headache, but we’ve streamlined this for you. You only need to handle Bobtail insurance and ACC/OCC. CW Freight manages the rest, and for added convenience, we can even provide Bobtail insurance for a fee.

Are there any commitments that I should be aware of?

When operating under CW Freight’s authority (or any similar arrangement), there is a commitment not to work for multiple companies simultaneously. You may only work for the company whose name appears on the side of your truck. This exclusivity helps build a strong, mutual relationship grounded in reliability and trust.

What if I have specific load preferences?

At CW Freight, we prioritize your preferences with a no-forced dispatch policy. Before you start, we record your specific requirements and preferences. Based out of Chicago, we offer a range of service offerings from drayage jobs and intermodal owner operator services to over the road trucking. This proactive approach helps minimize rejected loads and improves operational efficiency, tailoring work to meet your expectations.
